Soukia Beach is one of the beaches in the popular seaside village of Kassiopi, in the northeast of Corfu. The beach is situated in an unspoiled natural environment in a secluded bay on the eastern outskirts of the village.
How To Get To Soukia Beach
Soukia Beach can be reached by foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
By foot, Soukia Beach is about a 1-kilometer walk from the center of Kassiopi. The beach can be a bit hard to find but there is a small public path that leads between the private villas to the beach.
From Corfu Town, it’s about a 35-kilometer or 1-hour drive to Soukia Beach. You can’t get all the way to the beach by car, so you’ll have to find a safe space somewhere along the road or use one of the parking lots in the village.
The nearest bus stop is along Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari and serves Green Bus lines A4 and A12 which both connect Kassiopi with Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Soukia Beach is situated in a secluded bay and is oriented towards the northeastern direction. The beach has an unspoiled charected and the bay is surrounded by lush green vegetation. The only building developments near the beach are a few private villas.
Soukia Beach has a length of aprroximately 70 meters and an average width of about 5 meters. The beach is pebbled and the seabed has a somewhat steeper slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth.
Facilities At Soukia Beach
Soukia Beach is unorganized and has no public facilities so you’ll have to bring your own supplies for a beach day. There are no shops or restaurants nearby.
