Pipitos Beach is one of the beaches in the popular coastal village of Kassiopi in the northeast of Corfu. Despite its urban location, the tiny beach has a hidden character as it’s secluded in a bay behind Kassiopi Castle.
How To Get To Pipitos Beach
Pipitos Beach is situated on the peninsula north of the center of Kassiopi and can be reached by foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
By foot, Pipitos Beach is a 10-minute walk from the center of Kassiopi, and getting there is pretty straightforward as you can just follow the only road that goes around the peninsula.
You can also get to Pipitos Beach by car or scooter and from Corfu Town, it’s about a 35-kilometer or 1-hour drive. There is only a very small parking area which fills up very quickly in summer. To save the hassle of driving through the narrow roads to the beach, only to find there’s no parking available you can best park in one of the parking lots at the entrance of the village and walk from there.
The nearest bus stop is in the center of the village. Green Bus lines A4 and A12 connect Kassiopi with Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Pipitos Beach is tucked away in a small bay at the foot of Kassiopi Castle, giving it a secluded character. With a length of just 80 meters and an average width between 5 to 10 meters it’s a tiny beach, but because of its beauty it’s very popular and can get very busy in summer.
The beach and seabed are covered with pebbles. The seabed has a relatively steep slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth. The beach is surrounded by some vegetation and depending on the time of the day, the rocky hill can provide some shade.
Facilities At Pipitos Beach
Pipitos Beach is organized and has several facilities including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent and trash bins. For food and drinks, next to the beach there’s a taverna with beautiful views from its deck.
