Patounis’ Soap Factory is a traditional, family-owned soap factory, museum, and shop in Corfu Town.
The family business has already been operating for five generations by passing on ancestral recipes from fathers to sons. The factory where soap and other skin products are still being made dates back to 1891 and has been listed as a monument of industrial heritage since 2008. The traditional soap-making technique has been listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage in 2017.
Visitors are welcome to have a look at the factory where they can learn more about the tradition of soap making. There is also a small shop where you can buy their famous olive oil soap and other handmade products.
