Paleopolis Beach is a small public beach in the Anemomylos neighborhood of Corfu Town. The beach is named after the ancient city of Paleopolis, of which several archeological remains can be found around the area.
How To Get To Paleopolis Beach
Paleopolis Beach is located between the Anemomylos Windmill and Mon Repos Beach, and opposite the Thomas Flanginis House and the Mon Repos Palace Hotel. From the old town, the beach can be reached by a 20-minute walk around Garitsa Bay. Corfu City Bus line 2A stops on Emmanouil Theotoki Street in front of the beach.
Beach Description
Paleopolis Beach is a short and narrow beach strip consisting of rocks, pebbles, and sand. The beach has a width of no more than a few meters and a length of approximately 100 meters. Since this is a public beach, it is accessible to the general public all year.
Facilities At Paleopolis Beach
There are no facilities at Paleopolis Beach. However, there is a restaurant at the adjacent Mon Repos Beach and another restaurant on the northern side of the beach. There’s a kiosk to buy some drinks and snacks for the beach at the nearby Anemomylos Marina, where you can also find multiple restaurants.
