Nissaki Beach is a tiny beach in the seaside village of Nissaki on the east coast of northern Corfu. It is one of several beaches in the area that make Nissaki a popular holiday destination.
How To Get To Nissaki Beach
Nissaki Beach is located just off Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari in the center of Nissaki and can be easily reached with your own transportation like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
From Corfu Town, it’s a 21-kilometer drive to Nissaki Beach. From the main road, a small road leads to the beach. Free parking is available at the beach, but spaces are somewhat limited.
To get to Nissaki Beach by public transport, you can take Green Bus line A4, A5, A12, or S6 which all stop on the main road in Nissaki, from where it’s a 600-meter walk to the beach.
Beach Description
The coast at Nissaki Beach is rocky, and the actual beach is only very small. It is oriented toward the southeast and has a maximum length of 25 meters and a width of no more than 10 meters. The beach and beach bed are sandy with some pebbles and have a gentle slope, so for the first few meters the bathing water is relatively shallow.
The beach has a secluded character, away from the village and is surrounded by a scenery of green vegetation. Although it is only a very tiny beach, it is a nice and peaceful spot for relaxation and swimming.
Facilities At Nissaki Beach
Nissaki Beach is organized and operated by a taverna and has sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. The adjacent taverna also has a sundeck. There are several more tavernas serving food and drinks and there is also a small marina with a diving center and boats for rent.
