Klimatia Beach is a small secluded beach hidden away in a bay near the village of Liapades, on the west coast of central Corfu. The beach is unspoiled and usually quiet as it can only be reached on foot or by boat.
How To Get To Klimatia Beach
Klimatia Beach is situated in a tiny bay, next to the more popular Limni Beach. Both beaches are remotely located, about 2 kilometers from Liapades, and can only be reached on foot or by boat.
Overland, you can get near the beach with a private vehicle, like a rental car, or scooter, but there’s no public transport. By car, Klimatia Beach is a 6-kilometer drive from Paleokastritsa and 21 kilometers from Corfu Town.
From Liapades, a narrow, but asphalted road leads in the direction of the beach. Once you get nearby, the road bends to the left and continues parallel to the coast. You need to continue past the beach until you see a small path on your right-hand side. You can park alongside the road and from there, it’s a 550-meter walk to Klimatia Beach.
A path also connects Klimatia Beach with Limni Beach.
Beach Description
Klimatia Beach is situated in a small bay and is totally secluded by the rocky coast. The beach is oriented towards the northern and northwestern directions and is covered in shade during a large part of the day due to its secluded location underneath the high rocks.
The beach has a length of approximately 30 meters and an average width of 5 meters. The beach and seabed are covered with pebbles, larger stones, and rocks. The seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth.
Klimatia Beach is considered less spectacular than Limni Beach and mostly covered in shade and is therefore a much more quiet alternative to the popular neighboring beach.
Facilities At Klimatia Beach
Klimatia Beach is unorganized and has no facilities at all, so you’ll have to bring your own supplies for a beach day. It’s recommended to bring plenty of water on a hot day because you can’t get anything nearby.
