Karavi Beach is one of the beaches in the popular seaside village of Kassiopi, in the northeast of Corfu. Despite its urban location near the port, the unspoiled beach is secluded and quiet.
How To Get To Karavi Beach
Karavi Beach is situated in a small secluded bay near the center of Kassiopi and can be reached by foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
By foot, it’s only a 300-meter walk from the center of Kassiopi. From the eastern end of the port, a path leads along the coast towards the beach.
From Corfu Town, it’s about a 35-kilometer or 1-hour drive to Kassiopi. There is a small parking lot at the port, but there is also a larger paid parking lot at the entrance of the village.
The nearest bus stop is in the center of the village. Green Bus lines A4 and A12 connect Kassiopi with Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Karavi Beach is a very tiny beach with a length of no more than 30 meters and an average width of about 3 to 5 meters. The beach is hidden in a small bay on the unspoiled rocky coast northeast of the center of Kassiopi. The beach is oriented towards the northeast.
The beach is pebbled and the seabed has a somewhat steep slope. Within a few meters, the bathing water is already relatively deep. The beach is surrounded by a natural rugged coastline with lots of green vegatation, making the small beach a hidden treasure.
Facilities At Karavi Beach
Karavi Beach is unorganized and has no facilities, so you’ll have to bring your own supplies for a beach day. In the nearby center of Kassiopi there are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.
