The Church of Saint Ioannis the Precursor is an orthodox church on Nikiforou Theotoki Street in the historic center of Corfu Town.
The church was built in 1480 in the style of a one-aisle royal church with a wooden tiled roof and a bell tower. The church has a simple exterior without shutters in the windows. The interior ceiling was painted by Sp. Sperantzas in 1773. The Church of Saint Ioannis the Precursor was one of the first cathedral temples of the Great Head Priests of Corfu.
Every year on August 29th the church honors Saint Ioannis (Saint John) the Precursor with a feast.
