Beach Description
Bouka Beach is situated on the east coast of southern Corfu and is oriented towards the eastern and slightly northeastern directions, looking out directly at the mainland of Greece.
The beach stretches out in the southern direction from the mouth of the Lefkimmi River over a length of approximately 1.4 kilometers, with an average width of around 15 meters.
The beach and seabed are sandy and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water remains shallow. The only potential source of pollution comes from the canal after heavy rainfall, but this is rare in the dry summer and usually short-lived. In general, the water is very clear and calm, so very suitable for swimming.
The coast around Bouka Beach is not very developed and mostly natural with only a few buildings here and there. Behind the beach there’s a lot of dense and tall vegetation, creating a natural atmosphere.
The beach is popular, but there’s plenty of space so you won’t feel cramped here as you can always find a quiet spot on the long stretch of sand.
Facilities At Bouka Beach
Bouka Beach is only partly developed on the northern side next to the river mouth. There you can find several facilities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, showers, toilets, trash bins, and a beach taverna selling drinks and food.
There is also a beach volley pitch and there are water sports, including pedal boats, peddle boards, and other fun activities.
