Agios Gordios Beach is one of the longest beaches in Corfu. The beach stretches out along a lengthy bay in front of the homonymous village of Agios Gordios, on the west coast of central Corfu.
How To Get To Agios Gordios Beach
Agios Gordios Beach is situated right in front of the village and can be reached on foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Agios Gordios Beach is a 16-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, which usually takes about 25 minutes. There’s not much parking directly at the beachfront, so if you’re looking for public parking, you’ll probably have to park a bit further away in the surrounding streets and walk to the beach.
The nearest bus stop is at the main crossing in the center of the village, a 400-meter walk from the beach. Green Bus line B10 connects Agios Gordios with Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Agios Gordios Beach is oriented towards the southwestern direction. Although the southern part in front of the village is the most popular and well-developed, the beach spans across the entire Agios Gordios Bay for almost 2.5 kilometers.
The southern part has a length of approximately 1 kilometer and an average width of about 25 meters and is completely sandy. The northern part has a length of 1.5 kilometers and is slightly narrower with an average width of 15 meters. This part is rougher with a combination of sand, stones, and some rocky parts.
The seabed of Agios Gordios Beach has a gentle slope and for the first few meters the bathing water has a normal depth. The water is very clear and relatively calm, providing the perfect conditions for swimming.
Agios Gordios Beach is surrounded by a beautiful mountainous landscape with green hills behind the village and around the corner of the bay on the southern side. While the village has developed on the southern part of the beach, the northern coastline is more natural with very few developments.
Agios Gordios Beach is popular for its white sand and turquoise waters, and the many amenities that the resort town offers. Although it can get busy, there is ample space so you won’t feel cramped at this beach.

More cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and shops can be found nearby as well.
