Afionas is a historical village on the west coast of northern Corfu.
How To Get To Afionas
Afionas is located on the west coast of northern Corfu and can be reached by car, bus, or private transfer.
By car, Afionas is a 35-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, where the airport and main ferry port are located. From Agios Stefanos Avliotes, it’s a 6-kilometer drive, and from Agios Georgios Pagon, it’s only 2 kilometers. You can’t get into the old village by car so you’ll have to park either in the paid parking lot at the entrance of the village (next to the church), or on the side of the road towards the village if there is any space.
For the ultimate freedom and convenience to explore the island at your own pace, you can rent a car and pick it up upon arrival at Corfu Airport or Corfu Port, then enjoy a scenic drive to Afionas. You can search and book rental cars on our website here.
To get to Afionas by bus, you can take Green Buses line A6 which departs from the Green Bus Terminal in Corfu Town. However, this bus doesn’t run very frequently, so it might not be ideal for a short visit or a day trip. You can find more information about the bus journey on the Green Buses page.
For a more convenient and hassle-free door-to-door trip to your accommodation in Afionas, you can book a private transfer from the airport or ferry port.
