Museum Kouris is a folklore museum in the village of Lefkimmi in southern Corfu. The museum houses the private collection of Spiros, who has been collecting all sorts of historical objects from the region for decades.
The collection includes all sorts of historical tools, a blacksmith workshop, kitchen and household objects, cooking tools, pottery, old coins, and many more ethnographic objects. The owner will gladly tour you around and explain as much as you want about the varying objects of his collection. It’s a great place to learn more about historic village life and its culture and traditions.
The museum is a true hidden gem and is free to visit, although donations are appreciated.
