Kolias Beach is one of the virgin beaches on the rugged coastline near the village of Liapades, on the west coast of central Corfu. The beach is only accessible by boat as it is completely secluded by high cliffs.
How To Get To Kolias Beach
Kolias Beach is situated about 1.5 kilometers southwest of Liapades, but its secluded location below high cliffs makes it inaccessible overland, so the only way to get there is by boat.
On Liapades Beach, and in Paleokastritsa, there are taxi boats that can take you to Kolias Beach and pick you up a few hours later. Of course, you can also rent a boat, or book a boat trip that includes a stop here.
Beach Description
Kolias Beach is remotely located in an unspoiled area without any constructions and a lot of olive trees and other vegetation. The beach is oriented towards the western and northwestern directions and its seclusion below high cliffs provides shade during the morning and early afternoon.
The beach has a length of approximately 130 meters and an average width of no more than 10 meters. The beach and seabed have a combination of sand, pebbles, and stones. The seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water is relatively shallow.
The turquoise waters at Kolias Beach are perfect for swimming and snorkling and the beach is an amazing hidden gem for nature lovers and couples seeking a romantic trip to a deserted beach.
Facilities At Kolias Beach
Kolias Beach is unorganized and has no facilities at all, so you’ll have to bring your own drinks, snacks, and other supplies if you take a boat trip there.
