Gialiskari Beach in Gimari, also spelled as Yaliskari Beach and not to be confused with similarly named beaches in Perithia and Sinarades, is a small secluded beach on the east coast of northern Corfu. The beach is a quiet getaway in a lush green environment.
How To Get To Gialiskari Beach In Gimari
Gialiskari Beach is located off Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari in the village of Gimari and can be easily reached with your own transportation like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
From Corfu Town, it’s a 27-kilometer drive to Gialiskari Beach. Next to the church on the main road, a narrow road leads you down, but not entirely to the beach. For the last part, you need to follow a small public path between the private residences to get to the beach.
To get to Gialiskari Beach by public transport, you can take Green Bus line A4 or A12 which both stop on the main road in Gimari, from where it’s an 800-meter walk to the beach.
A walking trail connects Gialiskari Beach with Agni Beach to the southwest and another shortcut leads to Kalami Beach to the northeast.
Beach Description
Gialiskari Beach is a hidden gem in a small lush green bay with relatively little development. The beach is oriented towards the southeast and has an approximate length of 80 meters and an average width of 10 meters. The beach and seabed are covered with pebbles and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters the bathing water has a relatively shallow depth.
Facilities At Gialiskari Beach In Gimari
Gialiskari Beach is partly organized and has a few facilities including a taverna and sunbeds with umbrellas for rent. There’s also a small jetty.
