Apotripiti Beach is situated in a bay outside the popular seaside village of Sidari, on the north coast of Corfu. The unspoiled beach has a hidden character and is a popular alternative to the nearby Canal d’Amour and crowded Sidari Beach.
How To Get To Apotripiti Beach
Apotripiti Beach is located northwest of Sidari, about 1.5 kilometers from the center of the village, and can be reached by foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Apotripiti Beach is a 39-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, which usually takes between 50 minutes and 1 hour. From Paleokastritsa, it’s a 35-kilometer drive, and from Kassiopi, a 26-kilometer drive. There’s a free parking area from where a wooden staircase leads down to the beach.
The nearest bus stop is about 1 kilometer away, on the main road through the town, Road 2224 Corfu-Skripero-Sidari-Peroulades. Green Bus line A2 connects Sidari with Corfu Town and runs all year. During the summer season only, line S1 connects Sidari with Agios Georgios Pagon and line S5 with Kassiopi.
Beach Description
Apotripiti Beach is situated in a secluded bay and is oriented towards the northern direction. The beach looks out on the Mermaid’s Rock and another small uninhabited rocky islet.
The beach has a length of 75 meters and an average width of 7 meters. The beach and seabed are sandy. The seabed has a gentle slope and the bathing water remains shallow for the first few meters.
The coastline at Apotripiti Beach is natural without any construction. The bay is secluded by limestone cliffs and rock formations and there is dense green vegetation surrounding the area. Apotripiti Beach is a real gem with crystal clear turqoise waters in a beautiful environment.
Facilities At Apotripiti Beach
Apotripiti Beach is unorganized and has no facilities at all, so you’ll have to bring your own supplies for a beach day. The nearest taverna is on the main road, about 250 meters away and many more shops, bars, and restaurants can be found nearer to the center of Sidari.
