Angsana Beach is situated in front of the Angsana Corfu Resort in Benitses, on the east coast of central Corfu. The small beach is publicly accessible but privately operated.
How To Get To Angsana Beach
Angsana Beach is located right next to National Road 23 (Corfu Town – Lefkimmi) on the northern outskirts of Benitses. It can be reached on foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
From the center of Benitses, it’s about a 1-kilometer walk or drive. The entrance to the beach is via a tunnel underneath the road that directly connects the beach with the Angsana Corfu Resort. The public entrance to the tunnel is across the road from the beach.
From Corfu Town, Angsana Beach is an 11-kilometer drive by car. There is no public parking lot at the beach, so you’ll have to park somewhere on the side of the road.
You can also get to Angsana Beach by public transport as there is a bus stop right next to the beach. Several of the Green Buses between Corfu Town and southern destinations stop there.
Beach Description
Angsana Beach is oriented towards the eastern direction and looks out at the mainland of Greece on the horizon. The beach is situated below the road, but this seclusion only provides some shade later in the day.
The beach has a length of approximately 140 meters and an average width of about 15 meters. The beach is sandy, but the seabed is convered with pebbles and stones. The seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth. The water is very clear and calm, providing the perfect conditions for swimming.
Facilities At Angsana Beach
Angsana Beach is fully organized and operated by two beach bars which serve food and drinks. There are also sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, toilets, showers, and waste bins.
There is also a jetty where water sports are offered, including jet skis, kanoes, and a variety of inflatable rides.
