Agios Stefanos Beach, not to be confused with Agios Stefanos Beach in Sinies, is situated in the homonymous village of Agios Stefanos Avliotes, at the westernmost cape of Corfu, in the north of the island. The sand beach is popular for its beauty and large space as well as for the many amenities that the resort town offers.
How To Get To Agios Stefanos Avliotes Beach
Agios Stefanos Avliotes Beach is located right in front of the village of Agios Stefanos. It can be reached on foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Agios Stefanos Avliotes Beach is a 37-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, which takes about an hour. From Paleokastritsa, it’s a 26-kilometer drive, and from 9 kilometers from Sidari.
The nearest bus stop is about 300 meters away, on the road that runs parallel to the beach and through the center of the village. Green Bus lines A1 and A6 connect Agios Stefanos Avliotes with Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Agios Stefanos Avliotes Beach is situated in a large bay on the northern side of Cape Kefali and is oriented towards the western and northwestern directions. The beach looks out at the Diapontian Islands and the nearest island right in front of the beach is Diaplo, with Mathraki right behind it.
The beach has a length of approximately 1.7 kilometers and an average width of 20 meters, providing ample space. The beach and seabed are sandy, and the seabed has a gentle slope, so the bathing water remains shallow for the first few meters.
The surrounding area of the beach is only developed with resort hotels and restaurants in the southern part, where the village is located. The northern part is completely unspoiled with no developments and a lot of green vegetation. The beach continues around the corner, out of sight from the village, where it’s quiet and you’ll have plenty of space for yourself.

The southern part of Agios Stefanos Avliotes Beach is fully organized and has all the facilities you can expact from a resort town, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, showers, toilets, waste bins, beachs bars, and restaurants.
You can also rent a boat and there are watersports available, including pedal boats, jet skis, inflatable rides, and paragliding.
