Agia Aikaterini Beach is a recreational area with a beach and other facilities in Potamos, a suburb of Corfu Town.
How To Get To Agia Aikaterini Beach
Agia Aikaterini Beach is located right next to Road no. 24 (Corfu Town-Paleokastritsa), about 4.5 kilometers northeast of the center of Corfu Town, and can be reached by foot, car, boat, or public transport. There is a free parking lot and Corfu City Bus line 7 stops along the main road (bus stop Agia Aikaterini)
Beach Description
Agia Aikaterini Beach has a length of about 250 meters and an average width of 5 meters. The beach and seabed are mostly covered with pebbles and there’s a gentle slope so the first few meters of the water are shallow.
The water is clear and suitable for swimming. The only potential risks of pollution come from tankers that are docking to refuel at the liquid fuel facilities to the west of the beach, and from the small water stream that mouths into the sea. Pollution is however rare and is usually short-lived.
Facilities At Agia Aikaterini Beach
Agia Aikaterini Beach is public and is partly organized and partly unorganized. There is an area with sunbeds and umbrellas, a bar and restaurant, and there are facilities for people with disabilities. There are also basketball and volleyball courts and a skate park.
