Acquasanta Beach is situated in the village of Astrakeri, on the north coast of Corfu. It is one of two beaches in the village, with the other being Astrakeri Beach.
How To Get To Acquasanta Beach
Acquasanta Beach is located in the village of Astrakeri, about 1.2 kilometers off Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari, and can best be reached with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat.
By car, Acquasanta Beach is a 7-kilometer drive from Sidari, 18 kilometers from Kassiopi, and 36 kilometers from Corfu Town. There is a small parking lot at the beach and otherwise, free parking can also be found along the streets nearby.
There is no public transport to Acquasanta Beach. The nearest bus stop is on Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari which serves Green Bus line S5 between Kassiopi and Sidari and only runs during the summer season.
Beach Description
Acquasanta Beach is the beach area to the east of the Astrakeri Marina and is oriented towards the north and northwest. There are a few beach sections that are interrupted by rocky areas.
The main beach right next to the Astrakeri Harbor has a length of approximately 200 meters and an average width of about 10 meters. There are a few more smaller beach parts in front of the hotels to the east.
The beach and seabed are sandy and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water is shallow. Behind the beach is dense green vegetation, covering the beach from the nearby constructions. Astrakeri is a quiet village and the beach is usually not very busy.
Facilities At Acquasanta Beach
Acquasanta Beach is organized and has several facilities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, boats and pedal boats for rent, and there are a few beach bars and restaurants.
