Chomi Beach, sometimes also referred to as Paradise Beach, is a virgin beach below spectacular cliffs near the village of Liapades, on the west coast of central Corfu. The beach has the characteristics of a deserted paradise and can only be reached by boat.
How To Get To Chomi Beach
Chomi Beach is situated below high cliffs that seclude access to the beach overland so the only way to get there is by boat.
On Liapades Beach, and in Paleokastritsa, there are taxi boats that can take you to Chomi Beach and pick you up a few hours later. Of course, you can also rent a boat, or book a boat trip that includes a stop here.
If you embark on a hike to the nearby Iliodoros Beach, you can make a small detour by following a marked path to the top of a hill from where you have a spectacular view of Chomi Beach. You can’t however, get closer than that safely.
Beach Description
Chomi Beach is considered one of the most picturesque beaches in Corfu as it is situated below spectacular high cliffs and in front of beautiful turquoise waters.
The beach is oriented towards the southwestern direction and spans a length of approximately 570 meters, with an average width of around 10 meters.
The beach has a mixture of sand and small pebbles, while the seabed also has larger stones and rocks. The seabed has a somewhat steep slope and the bathing water get deep quickly after the first few meters.
The water is crystal clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There are also several small coves and seacaves in the surrounding area.
Facilities At Chomi Beach
Chomi Beach is partly organized with some limited facilities, but only during the peak of the summer season. During this time, there might be sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, and a small bar selling drinks.
However, outside the peak season, there are no facilities at all so you’ll need to organize yourself with food, drinks, and other supplies if you make a boat trip to this beach.
