Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is situated in the homonymous seaside village of Agios Ioannis Peristeron, on the east coast of southern Corfu. The beach is known for its luxury resort hotels and quiet environment with lush green vegetation.
How To Get To Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach
Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is situated right next to National Road 23 (Corfu Town – Lefkimmi) and can be reached on foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is a 2.3-kilometer drive from Moraitika, 5 kilometers from Benitses, and 17 kilometers from Corfu Town. There is no parking lot at the beach, but you can probably find some space to park on the side of the road.
There are two bus stops at the beach, one at the t-crossing in front of the Mar-Bella Corfu Hotel and one in front of the Mar-Bella Nido Hotel. Several Green Buses stop there on their way between the Green Bus Terminal in Corfu Town and the south, including lines B1 (Kavos), B2 (Petriti), B5 (Agios Georgios Argyrades), B6 (Issos) and B7 (Mesongi).
Beach Description
Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is oriented towards the western direction and looks out on the mainland of Greece on the horizon. The beach has a length of approximately 450 meters and an average width of 10 meters.
The beach and seabed are covered by fine pebbles and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth. The water is very clear and calm, creating the perfect conditions for swimming.
The beach is secluded from the busy road by trees and other vegetation which also provide some shade in the afternoon. The surroundings of the beach are beautiful with high green hills and turquoise waters.
Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach has a tranquil atmosphere as it is situated in a somewhat quiet environment. The seaside village is very small and mainly consists a few resort hotels, restaurants and other tourist businesses and is much more layed back than other nearby beachtowns like Moraitika and Benitses. The beach is therefore perfect for couples and families with kids.

Agios Ioannis Peristeron Beach is organized and has several facilities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, showers, trash bins, and several beach bars and restaurants.
