Rovinia Beach is an unspoiled virgin beach near the village of Liapades, on the west coast of central Corfu. The beach is popular for its secluded character and natural environment.
How To Get To Rovinia Beach
Rovinia Beach is situated about 1.2 kilometers outside of the village of Liapades and can be reached on foot, or with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat.
By car, Rovinia Beach is a 5.5-kilometer drive from Paleokastritsa and 21 kilometers from Corfu Town. The last part of the journey from the village to the beach is a steep and narrow road. Near the end of the road, there’s a private paid parking area. You can’t get all the way to the beach by car, so you’ll have to park there and walk the remaining 200 to 300 meters.
There is no public transport to Liapades Beach. The nearest bus stop is in the village of Liapades, a 1.4-kilometer walk away, and Green Bus line A10 connects it with Paleokastritsa and Corfu Town.
Beach Description
Rovinia Beach is a completely unspoiled beach which is secluded in a bay surrounded by rocks and green vegetation. The beach is oriented towards the northwesten direction and looks out at Paleokastritsa.
The beach has a length of 70 meters and an average width of about 25 meters. The beach and seabed are sandy with fine pebbles. The seabed has steep slope so the bathing water gets relatively deep quickly. The clear blue water is calm and perfect for swimming and snorkling.
The coastline is entirely natural without any constructions. This makes the beach a true hidden treasure if you like to stay away from the crowds and organize your own picnic on the beach.
Facilities At Rovinia Beach
Rovinia Beach is unorganized and has no facilities at all, so you’ll have to bring your own supplies for a beach day. Make sure to bring plenty of water, because you can’t get anything nearby.
