Veredosa Beach is one of the beaches in the popular seaside village of Paleokastritsa, on the west coast of central Corfu. It is probably the least-known beach in the town as it is somewhat hard to find and has no facilities, yet it can still be crowded.
How To Get To Veredosa Beach
Veredosa Beach is centrally located in Paleokastritsa, next to Platakia Beach and right below the main road through the village. It can easily be reached on foot from other parts of the village, or from further away with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Veredosa Beach is a 22-kilometer drive from Corfu Town. The beach has no parking lot, so you’ll have to find a spot somewhere along the road.
The nearest bus stop is on the same road, just a short walk away. Green Bus lines A9 and A10 connect Paleokastritsa with Corfu Town and line S6, which only runs during the summer months, with Nissaki.
The beach can be a bit hard to find as there are no signs, but there is a narrow staircase from the main road down to the beach.
Beach Description
Veredosa Beach is situated in a bay and is oriented towards the southeastern direction. The beach has a length of approximately 35 meters and an average width of about 5 meters.
The beach and beach bed are covered with fine pebbles and some larger stones and rocks. The seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water is shallow.
Veredosa Beach is definitely not the best beach as it looks run down with some abandoned constructions but at the same time its very popular for being a hidden gem secluded by trees and other vegetation and its crystal clear waters.
Facilities At Veredosa Beach
Veredosa Beach is unorganized and has no facilities at all, so you’ll have to bring your own supplies. Several bars, restaurants, and shops can be found nearby.
