How To Get To Sidari Beach
Sidari Beach is situated right in front of the village of Sidari and can be reached by foot, with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat, or by public transport.
By car, Sidari Beach is a 36-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, which usually takes between 50 minutes and 1 hour. From Paleokastritsa, it’s a 34-kilometer drive, and from Kassiopi, a 23-kilometer drive. To park near the beach, you might have to drive a bit around to find a free spot when it’s busy or park a bit further away from the center.
There are two bus stops just off the beach, on the main road through the town, Road 2224 Corfu-Skripero-Sidari-Peroulades. Green Bus line A2 connects Sidari with Corfu Town and runs all year. During the summer season only, line S1 connects Sidari with Agios Georgios Pagon and line S5 with Kassiopi.
Beach Description
Sidari Beach is among the most popular beaches in Corfu because of many reasons, including it’s crystal clear waters, sand beaches, and beautiful surroundings, but also because of the many amenities and nightlife of this resort town.
The beach spans along two bays with the Port of Sidari in the middle. Both parts of the beach are oriented towards the north and northeast, while further to the west, the beach faces slightly to the northwest.
The total length of Sidari Beach is almost 2 kilometers, with an average width of 20 meters. The beach and seabed are sandy and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters the bathing water is shallow.
The only potential sources of pollution are from small water streams mouthing into the sea and from boats docking in the port.
