Astrakeri Beach is situated in the homonymous village of Astrakeri, on the north coast of Corfu. It is one of two beaches in the village, with the other being Acquasanta Beach.
How To Get To Astrakeri Beach
Astrakeri Beach is located in the village of Astrakeri, about 1.2 kilometers off Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari, and can best be reached with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat.
By car, Astrakeri Beach is a 7-kilometer drive from Sidari, 18 kilometers from Kassiopi, and 36 kilometers from Corfu Town. Free parking is available near the beach.
There is no public transport to Astrakeri Beach. The nearest bus stop is on Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari which serves Green Bus line S5 between Kassiopi and Sidari and only runs during the summer season.
Beach Description
Astrakeri Beach is a triangular-shaped beach situated in a small bay between the Astrakeri Harbor and the Cape of Astrakeri. The beach is oriented towards the northeastern direction and has a length of approximately 250 meters and an average width of 20 meters.
The beach and seabed are sandy and the seabed has a gentle slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth. The beach has a quiete and remote character as it is surrounded by dense green vegetation. Astrakeri is a quiet village and the beach is usually not very busy.
Facilities At Astrakeri Beach
Astrakeri Beach is partly organized and has facilities like sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. For food and drinks there are a few tavernas on the adjacent Acquasanta Beach you can find a couple more bars and restaurants.
