Kerasia Beach is a largely unspoiled beach near the village of Agnitsini, on the east coast of northern Corfu. The semi-developed beach is a hidden getaway that is perfect for a relaxing beach day.
How To Get To Kerasia Beach
Kerasia Beach is located near the village of Agnitsini and is best reached with a private vehicle like a rental car or a scooter, or by boat.
From Corfu Town, it’s a 36-kilometer drive to Kerasia Beach. After following Road 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari, in Agnitsini you need to take the exit and follow the directions to Agios Stefanos. After passing through this fishing village, you need to continue south until you reach Kerasia Beach. This looks like a detour, but there is no other road. Free parking is available at the beach.
There is no viable public transportation option to get to Kerasia Beach. The nearest bus stops are on the main road in Agnitsi and in Kariotiko which serve Green Bus lines A4 and A12.
Another way to get to Kerasia Beach is via a hiking trail from Chouchoulio Beach. That beach is accessible by road and has free parking. The marked trail is about 1.2 kilometers and leads you along Psathopoulou Beach, a stunning virgin beach.
Beach Description
Kerasia Beach is oriented towards the southeast and stretches out along the Kerasia Bay over a length of 275 meters, with an average width of 10 meters. The beach and seabed are covered by pebbles and the seabed has a somewhat steep slope so in the first few meters the bathing water is already relatively deep.
Apart from some development, the beach is surrounded by a relatively unspoiled environment with dense green vegetation. Since the beach is only partly organized, it has a quiet character without noise, which is perfect for relexation. On the horizon you can see the coast of Albania.
On the eastern end of the beach, a path leads around the corner to another unnamed beach on the other side of the small peninsula. This beach is completely undeveloped and apart from the occasional boats anchoring there it’s unually empty.
Facilities At Kerasia Beach
Kerasia Beach is partly organized and therefore has several facilities including a few tavernas serving food and drinks, beach beds and umbrellas for rent, showers, and trash bins. There are also some water sports available.
