Kaminaki Beach is a small secluded beach in the village of Katavolos on the eastern coast of northern Corfu. The beach is a lesser-known getaway with the serene beauty of turquoise waters and cypress and olive trees at the foot of Mount Pantokrator.
How To Get To Kaminaki Beach
Kaminaki Beach is located in the village of Katavolos, in the Commune of Nissaki, and can be reached with your own transportation like a rental car or scooter, or by public transport.
From Corfu Town, it’s a 24-kilometer ride to Kaminaki Beach. Be aware though, that although you can drive from the main road all the way down to the beach via a steep and narrow road, there is barely any public parking available.
To get to Kaminaki Beach by public transport, you can take Green Bus line A4, A5, A12, or S6 which all stop on the main road in Katavolos, from where it’s a 450-meter walk to the beach.
Beach Description
Kaminaki Beach is a small beach secluded by rock formations on both ends. The beach has a length of aprroximately 80 meters and an average width of 10 meters. The beach is pebbled and has a somewhat gentle slope. For the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth.
The beach is a quiet getaway with a beautiful surrounding green landscape of Mount Pantokrator. The water is crystal clear and ideal for swimming.
Facilities At Kaminaki Beach
Kaminaki Beach is organized and has several facilities, including beach beds and umbrellas for rent, and there are a few tavernas selling drinks and food. There is also a jetty where you can rent motor boats and do water sports like water skiing, wakeboarding, and peddleboarding.
