Spilios Beach is a small beach hidden away in Dafnila Bay, on the east coast of central Corfu. The beach is a bit hard to find if you’re not staying in the resort that operates it, but it is publicly accessible to anyone.
How To Get To Spilios Beach
Spilios Beach is located in the village of Limni, in the Commune of Kato Korakiana, and can be visited with your own transportation, like a rental car or scooter, by taxi, or by public transport.
There is no parking at the beach, so you’d need to find some parking in the streets of the surrounding area. The public path to the beach is a winding staircase that you can find to the left of the entrance of the Grecotel Eva Palace.
You can also get to Spilios Beach by public transport if you take Corfu City Bus line 7 and get off on the main road (no. 2217 Tzavrou-Kassiopi-Sidari). From there it’s a 1.2-kilometer walk to the beach.
Beach Description
Spilios Beach is located in the southeastern part of Dafnila Bay and is oriented to the northwest. The beach has a length of approximately 180 meters and an average width of 10 meters. The beach is mostly sandy with some pebbles and the seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters the water is relatively shallow.
Although the surrounding area has been developed with hotels and resorts, the beach has retained its secluded character due its location and the presence of ample vegetation.
Spilios Beach is conneced to neighboring Dafnila Beach via a small path.
Facilities At Spilios Beach
Spilios Beach is organized and operated by the Grecotel Eva Palace but is publicly accessible and has several facilities including sunbeds and umbrellas (for hotel guests), a bar and restaurant, showers, toilets, and trash bins. There is also a variety of water sports available including the rental of motor boats and stand-up-paddle (SUP) boards.
