Corfy City Bus is the company that runs the blue buses that connect the different areas of Corfu Town, the airport, the ferry port, and some of the neighboring villages. The buses are relatively inexpensive, easy to navigate, and run frequently. Â
Corfu City Bus Routes
All Corfu City Bus lines run to and from the bus station at Saroko Square. The Corfu City Bus Station is probably not exactly what you expect from a bus station, but rather several bus stops along the streets surrounding the square. There is, however a ticket and information booth and the bus stops have a digital display showing live departure information. On the map below you can see the exact location of each bus stop. Â

For tourists, the most important lines are line 15, which runs between the airport, the Green Bus Terminal, the town center, and Corfu Port and the two lines running north (line 7 to Ipsos) and south (line 6 to Benitses) along the coast.

Frequency And Seasonality
The Corfu City Buses run all year but their schedules intensify during the summer season, to accommodate the demand on the busier routes. This means that the buses run very frequently at peak times, but when it’s quiet, there are less frequent departures.
During the peak of the summer, it can also happen that demand is so high that a bus gets full and you need to wait for the next one, for example when multiple flights have just landed at the airport. Luckily, the next bus won’t take long at those times.
At the same time, when demand is very low during the off-season, there might be very few buses to the airport and ferry port, so a taxi or private transfer could be a better option instead of waiting for the next bus. Â
Tickets And Prices For Corfu City Bus
Bus tickets can be purchased at ticket vending machines available at some bus stops, at the ticket booth at the Corfu City Bus Station, and in kiosks. Tickets can also be bought on-board the bus in cash at a small surcharge.
The price of a single-journey ticket is €1.20 for Zone A (which includes the town center, the airport, and the ferry port), and €1.60 for Zone B (which includes the outer suburbs). You can also purchase a daily ticket for €5. Rechargeable smart cards for multi-use are also available.

Are The Corfu City Buses Reliable?
Yes. The Corfu City Buses mostly run on time. However, during the busy summer season, the town gets extremely busy and traffic can become slow and since there are no dedicated bus lanes, buses can experience minor delays. At some of the bus stops, including at the airport and Saroko Square, you can see live departure information on the screens so you can anticipate on any delays. Â
Alternatives To Corfu City Bus
To get around the old town you actually don’t even need a bus as walking is the best option, but if you’re traveling with luggage or need to get to other parts of the town the Corfu City Bus is the best and most economical option in most cases. However, if you prefer the comfort of door-to-door transportation than you can take a taxi from one of the many taxi stands around the town, or prebook a private transfer to your destination.
