Moschopoulos Lake is an artificial reservoir of the Moschopoulos River in the south of Corfu. The man-made lake was constructed with EU funding in 2001, but it has never been put to use due to a lack of funds to construct and operate a water treatment plant and pumping stations.
Although the lake itself is not accessible and not a real tourist attraction, its surroundings are beautiful. The Moschopoulos Lake is therefore part of a popular hiking route that loops through the Arkoudilas forest along the lake, Arkoudilas Beach, Cape Asprokavos, and the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
